09.13.18 Viva Las Sisu
This week we are so excited to be joined by Sisu Youth Executive Director, Jamie Caves to talk about this incredible nonprofit and their upcoming fundraiser, Viva Las Sisu! Viva Las Sisu is Friday, Oct. 5 at IAO Gallery. Visit sisuyouth.org to learn more and purchase tickets!
In the ever growing Chisholm Creek area, Firebirds Wood Fired Grill opened this week and is the latest restaurant to join the neighborhood. They serve “elevated American food” including seafood, steaks and burgers.
Craig's Emporium has a new home after closing their Paseo location recently. You can now find them in a bigger space on 23 & Classen! On the subject of finding new homes…OKC Improv now has a permanent space in the Plaza District. Taking over the spaces formerly occupied by District House and The Venue, OKC Improv will now have their performance space and a place to host classes next door.
Sticking with Plaza District news, The Press patio is finally opening. They’ve had plans for the area since they opened about a year ago and now have the space open and are able to serve drinks this week, food next week and will be fully functional with late night hours and a band or DJ while weather permits!
Our friends and former guest Rachel Cope and 84 Hospitality have announced a new concept, Burger Punk, which appears to be the new plan for the food truck they purchased and she referenced back on our episode covering Pony Boy. Of course we will keep y’all posted as we learn more details.
